【摘要】莱考夫和约翰逊认为，隐喻在日常生活中是无处不在的，它不但存在于语言中，同时还存在于思想和行为中。童话中也有大量的隐喻。本文试以王尔德的《自私的巨人》为例，来分析隐喻在童话故事中的作用。

一、隐喻的研究背景
对隐喻的研究，早在古希腊时期就开始了。在古希腊时期，亚里斯多德认为，隐喻在诗歌创作中和修辞学中有很大的价值。罗马帝国时期，昆体良提出了“替代论”，认为隐喻实际上是用一个词去替代另一个词。在十八和十九世纪，哲学家们对待隐喻的态度逐渐从“贬斥派”转变为“赞赏派”。20世纪上半叶，布莱克在理查兹的基础上完善了隐喻的“互动理论”，他认为隐喻不只是把两样事物进行比较，而是用有关甲事物常识的整个系统来“过滤”或组织乙事物的概念系统，来完成对乙事物的理解。20世纪下半叶至今也是隐喻研究的鼎盛时期。在此时期，1980年Lakoff和Johnson第一本合著MetaphorsWeLiveBy的问世具有划时代的意义。他们认为，“隐喻不仅仅是一种语言现象，人的思维过程大体上也是隐喻性质的”。（Lakoff&Johnson1980：5）

在文中，“theprintsofnails”即“钉痕”。在西方文化中，上帝象征着纯洁和神圣。在基督教中，耶稣受难，是为了救赎人类所犯下的罪才上十字架的。他所受的伤是因为对人类浓浓的爱而留下的。文中可以看到小男孩的两只手掌心和两只小脚背上都有钉痕，这里的钉痕就是耶稣受难的十字架。耶稣为了救赎世人而自己受难。而且小男孩回答说：“thesearethewoundsofLove”（这是爱的伤痕啊。）很明显，这个小男孩就是上帝的化身，他是因为对人类（巨人）的爱来救赎巨人的。
2.颜色隐喻。颜色是人们对客观世界的一种感知，这种客观世界包括大自然和社会，其中都存在着各种各样的颜色。颜色是人类情感、思想及智慧的结晶（孙毅，2013：211）。隐喻不仅是一种修辞手段，同时，它更是一种人们普遍使用的的认知手段和思维方式。隐喻具有认知功能，它可以组织人类概念系统和引导人类经验。同时它对人类的思维产生重要的影响。用颜色来表达和解释其他的认知领域的范畴时，便形成了颜色隐喻。

神学领域往往通过对宗教特性人物或特性事物的渲染及赞誉而获得信徒对宗教的崇尚和膜拜.当宗教的某些理念被文艺作品转化为具体的事象时,该事象便成了宗教精神的一个外在的实体原型,即宗教原型.在《自私的巨人》的故事最后,巨人最爱的小男孩以基督的形象显身,他向巨人展示了手上的伤痕,并告诉巨人,这是"爱的伤痕"(thewoundsofLove),并对巨人说"今天我就要把你带到我天国里的花园里去."
"爱的伤痕"在基督教中专指耶稣基督被钉在十字架上后留下的钉痕,因为耶稣是为了赎人类的罪而上十字架的,他的伤是为了人类的爱而留下的,所以耶稣的钉痕是爱的伤痕.耶稣在复活后向门徒们展示了他的伤痕,这是他在替人类赎罪,让人类得救的证明.永远的伤痕,就是保证永远的得救.《自私的巨人》里小男孩向巨人展示伤痕的情节从某种意义上就是圣经中基督复活后向门徒展示手上和肋上的伤痕之一故事的翻版.
根据《约翰福音》第2O章的记载,受难复活的耶稣把手和肋旁指给门徒看.门徒看见主,就高兴的相信了主的存
在.而那十二个?徒中,有称为抵土马的多马.耶稣来的时候,他没有和他们同在,因此他不相信主的存在.他说他非看见主手上的钉痕,用指头探人那钉痕,又用手探人他的肋旁,他才相信.过了八天,门徒又在屋里,多马也和他们同在,门都关了.耶
稣出来站在当中对多马说,伸过你的指头来,摸我的手.伸出你的手来,探入我的肋旁.不要疑惑,总要信.
这里基督的形象同时也是"爱"的原型,只是这一次,"爱"——这个在王尔德的作品中常常以悲观绝望的基调出现的主题有了一个全然光明的形象一基督对人类的爱(agape).巨人心灵救赎之路是通过对孩子们的关照,特别是对那个哭泣的小男孩的关照完成的.虽然乍看起来,小男孩是柔弱无助的,巨人是强大有力的,是巨人帮助了小男孩,但从深层次来看,是小男孩教会了巨人对他人的慷慨,关怀,教会了巨人什么是爱,或者说,小男孩激发了巨人心灵最深处的美好品质,这些美好品质就潜伏在巨人的内在自我(anima)中.
如果我们同意巨人是作家本人的心灵写照,巨人的行为和性格(thepersona)代表了作家表现出的外在自我(theSel1),那么小男孩就代表了巨人的自我意识中最深层的,即无意识自我或者说真实的内在自我(Theunconsciousor
trueinnerselfofanindividual,asopposedtothepersona,orouteraspectofthepersonality),用荣格的术语就是theanima(内在自我,或日灵魂).至于小男孩为什么化身为基督的形象,可以用王尔德自己的话来解释:"我用两个主题表现我自己:基督与艺术生活."(三)季节形象的原型弗莱通过对神话原型的分析,把原型分为形象的原型与类型的原型.他认为"一天日出,日落的循环,一年不同季节的循环,以及人的生命的有机循环,其中都有同样意义的模式;依据这一模式,神话环绕某个形象构成具有中心地位的叙述——这形象一部分是太阳,一部分是茂盛的树木,一部分是神或原型的人."
在这样的认识上,他把神话归为了四种类型原型,而《自私的巨人》中的四季循环,万物复苏以及巨人的死而复生可以视为是这四种类型原型中的第一种:黎明,春天和出生方面的原型.在童话中,春天来临,到处开满鲜花,而巨人的花园却是一派残冬的景象;夏天也一直没来,而当别的花园结满金色的果子的时候,巨人的花园却只有凛冽的北风,寒冷的冰雪和永远的冬季.直到巨人认识到自己的自私,推倒了围墙后,花园才出现了美妙的画面,树上开满了白花,花园恢复了生机,有如大地回春,百花齐放一样!春天,冬天,树木,花园这些形象的象征意义的发掘,可以说是原型批评方法的最基本的功能之一.
神的诞生,历险,胜利,受难,死亡,复活,是完整的循环故事,象征昼夜更替,四季循环的自然节奏.巨人的由自私转变为无私的过程,正是像"神"一样经历着受难,而故事最后巨人得到化身基督形象的小男孩儿的指引,升到了天堂,也如"神"一般死而复生."死而复生"这样的主题是最早的原型之一.人类学家弗雷泽的《金枝》对其有详细论述.弗雷泽考察神话后,发现这些人格化的繁殖神皆可引起四季更替和植物荣枯.当他们身体健壮时,植物繁荣,进入夏季;当他们受伤时,大地荒芜,万物凋敝,冬季来临.而当神灵复活之时,荒芜的原野又会复苏,重新出现一片繁盛,进入新一轮的循虾.这种原型解释了神以死求生的神话,也解释了《自私的巨人》中四季更替,巨人死而复生的情节.三,思想探源

唯一真实的人,是那些从未存存过的人."他的创作目的就是通过想象的媒介,将经验的事物转化为审美的存在.在他看来,这种美感化的存在离生活越遥远则越完美童话创作,正好呼应了他的唯美主义理论和实践.(二)王尔德童话与宗教
唯美主义的艺术观对王尔德的影响是显而易见的,而宗教的影响则是更多地隐藏在作家的内心深处.赫斯基斯?皮尔逊发现"耶稣基督的人格深深吸引着王尔德",并且他对于基督的关注"逐年加深,甚至最后他几乎自我认同为基督,也常常开口使用寓言","在他的故事中,记录他的思索与教诲,对于他们悲剧的命运都有着强烈的直感".威尔森?耐特更加直接地说出"基督是解开王尔德人生之谜的钥匙".在《从深处》中,王尔德这样写道:"我看到了,真正的基督生命和真正的艺术家生命之间,有一个亲密直接得多的联系","在基督身上看得到基督天性的根本基础与艺术家的完全一样",王尔德将这种基础看作是"艺术领域中创作的唯一秘密".
在《自私的巨人》这则童话中,"自我救赎"是巨人形象得以圆满的途径.王尔德对自我救赎的理解是"人在苦难
中实现自我",这是王尔德宗教观的一个重要特征.他认为,"中世纪信仰真正的基督教,中世纪的基督是真正的基督".因为"他遍体鳞伤,一点也不好看,因为美是种快乐;他的服饰不好看,因为那也是种快乐;他是个有奇妙灵魂的乞丐,他是个灵魂圣洁的麻疯病人,他既不需财产也不需健康;他是个通过痛苦实现自我的上帝".童话是王尔德自我救赎的宗教观在艺术上的表达.
